Pre lesson blogging: Prejudice

What is prejudice to me?

Well, prejudice is an idea which has existed throughout the years. Be it the Holocaust or apartheid, it has been ever present. Most often, prejudice arises from pride or power. People who are in power often frown down upon the weak, poor or needy and influence others to do the same thing. Also, proud people regard others not like them or in the minority as inferior and thus stereotype them. People who come across as unusual or have a different race or religion are usually the victims of this sort of prejudice.

There is only one way to prevent this - humility. Only with a humble heart can we not succumb to prejudice.
